    78 GS1000 carbs and hoses - Quick Question ?

I have looked at the bottom of the BOWLS on the carbs.

Only one of them has a rubber hose on the nipple and runs to the back of the engine. (The far left one)

The other "3" carbs do not have a hose and if you take a wrag after riding it and dab the bottoms of the carbs - there are a few yellowish gas spots on the wrag.

Now the seapage is not a big deal - I can wipe it.
Crap, it is unoticable to the naked eye but ---------------

Is ther supposed to be hoses on the other 3 carbs.

Yes, put them on and run them down the back right hand side of the engine towards the ground. You will see where there is a square hole/holder area molded in the engine case to slide them through. It wont hurt anything like this unless you maybe dump a load of gas on your hot engine. You really need to drain that stuff to the road. Get the tubes on there.

Yep, one on each carb. You can route them all together to the right side. There is a little hole behind the engine that all 4 hoses will fit down in that will drain any overflow gas between the exhaust pipe and rear tire.

Sweet - Thanks for the answers.

I will run by the shop and get some more of the tubing and slap it on.

        THANKS AGAIN.
