Electrical Help! I just need some photos! I'll pay ya' if I need to!

    I've got an 1980 GS850....

I you have one or a model that's close all I need are pictures or the guts of your bike.

The electrical system was super corroded and I had to pull everything out. BUT I was a little hasty and didn't make good notes as to how the main electical harness snakes through the frame AND there are a few connections hidden behind the head lamp that don't seem to follow the color coding...

I though the haynes manual would have them, but alas, no good pic inside.

What I am looking for are a few detailed pics of that main cable AND a little help on the connections inside the head lamp. It may take more than one e-mail or phone call to do this, but I'd be willling to shoot a few pay pal bucks to some one for a little help here. This bike is in great shape otherwise, and I want to get another GS back on the road!!!

      Thanks

I took a look at this before, got it off the Bikbandit site....

It gives a nice look at the harness, but I really would like to see a photo. I treid a couple different configurations, and I can't quite seem to get it right.

Standing offer, I will send some one some cash for a few quick under the seat/ side panel phots and 2 or 3 answers to my behind headlamp wiring questions.

I have a 1980 GS850G that I just purchased. Currently, the tank, carbs and airbox are off so I can snap some pics of stuff. I cannot guarantee that everything is routed exactly; however, as far as I can tell everything works.

Do you need this tonight or can I take them in the morning? I have a digital camera and I'm computer saavy so I will have them up quickly.

        Jake

PS - I absolutely WILL NOT accept any form of payment (as I'm sure is the case with most everyone else). This is what a forum like this is for. People helping people.

Here are some pics. If ABSOLUTELY necessary, I can pull apart the headlight and snap pics of the inside connections.

I've embedded the pics in this reply; however, I also have a web page that I'm building that will have these (and future) pics.

If someone stumbles across this in the future and the pics aren't working, e-mail me and I'll see what I can do. halvorja@mn.rr.com

I'm limited to only 4 pics per reply, so there will be a few replies.

              Hope this helps,
              Jake

I also have the ultra hi-res versions of all these pics; however, they are around 1MB each. If needed, I can e-mail them.
