    Vacuum tubes...Where?

My 78 GS750E with old style carbs (not cv) has 3 vacuum tubes from the carbs..one goes to the Petcock, where do the other 2 go... ????

If their on the side of the carb's close to the upper bowl flange, they are vents. Point them down, place a line on, and run them back toward the swing arm where the other vent tubes are. Placing them up then over something will prevent moisture from leaving, causing later problems down the road.

On the 78 750 the hoses for #2 and 4 vents go over the airbox, down the back side through a small bracket on the right side of the back of the airbox.
See http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...ad.php?t=89607 for a little more info.

        Vacuum tubes.

Thank you for the Help. I thought they were Vacuum tubes and if left open, they would suck vacuum the same as an open vacuum port on your car...it would make it run lean.
        Thanks again

On my web site (see sig), I have a carburetor connection diagram for VM series carbs linked off the home page.
