After you get done making fun of me, please help!
So I pulled the plugs today to check and regap them and when I was putting the plug back in number 2, I cross threaded it. Well, being the moron I am, I tried to force the plug down instead up pulling it out and trying again. Now, I cannot get the plug to seat properly. What options do I have?Tags: None

I'd try to run a tap down the hole, straight this time, to try to clean up the origional threads. Use grease on the tap and pull it out during the tapping process to collect the chips. If that fails, you are going to have to Helicoil or install an insert of some type.Ed

As for laughing about a stripped spark plug hole, I doubt if there aren't too many people here who haven't done something similar at least once. Just part of the learning process about working on our bikes.sigpic

Free speech is the foundation of an open society. Each time a society bans a word or phrase it deems “offensive”, it chips away at that very foundation upon which it was built.
