    question about new air filter installing?

    if i ordered say 2 of http://www.oldbikebarn.com/part.php?...playPerPage=10
    these am i correct in guessing that i would pull out the old airbox and connect each one upto the carbs where the airbox itself connects into?

      If it's a two cylinder bike. You may run into jetting issues though.

        its a 1980 GS450L i picked it up about 2-3 weeks ago for 500 dollars i opened the airbox and pulled out this ragged piece that once resembled an air filter im guessing

          If you want to spend some time rejetting your carbs get the pods. If you want to go stock and save some time get a filter for your airbox.
          1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
          1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

            I read people get really frustrated trying to figure out new settings for their carbs with things like these. I would buy a used, origional airbox. Put it on and it is done. Choice is yours though.
