annoying needles..

Hey everyone, I have an annoying little problem on my 83 gs750 es. Everytime I look down at my speedo or tach I cant help but notice that at certain speeds the speedo seems to jump up and down within a 5 mph radius pretty much constantly. The tach needle moves as well but not quiet as much. I know that the bike isnt really doing this speed change or I would be lying down on the side of the highway or somethig very similar to that. Is there something I can tighten or adjust to mend this problem or am I stuck? I am more concerned with the speedo than the tach...

Lube the speedo drive at the front wheel and also your speedo cable, this "should" help.

Like Dink said, lube the cable well, and put some moly grease on the front wheel gears. The tach is another issue that we have some problems with, the electronic tach gets tempermental and requires the replacement of components.

Also make sure your cables are routed properly and the panel and cables are properly tightned.
