    help please very hot

    hi all
i'm currently building a gs850 trike and i have a small problem it is as follows
I HAVE BLANKED OF THE VACUUM PIPE ON THE CARBS AND USING THE CARBS WITH GRAVITY FEED TAPS
THE ENGINE RUNS BUT THE NUMBER 2 DOWN PIPE GETS VERY HOT COMPARED TO THE OTHER 3 THE VACUUM PIPE I HAVE BLANKED OFF IS ON THE NUMBER 2 CARB
NOT STANDARD EXHAUST FITTED 4 INTO 4
DO YOU THINK THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE CARBS NEED THE MIXTURE SORTING AND REBALANCING?
ANY ADVICE WILL BE APPRECIATED THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Shep, it definitely sounds like the mixture is off on one of the carbs... You said the pipes are non standard? Is it backfiring also? Are you running the stock airbix? Have you checked the plugs?
