Well, after some confusion about my address, the new stator finally came in. \\/After taking about 30 minutes to install, I am proud to say that the bike is able to once again charge the battery while running. Just need to replace a seal and the air filter, and I should be ready to begin riding. :-D Thanks to everyone that gave me all the great advice.

LOL, funny enough, after I get the stator installed and the bike running, my room mates bike now has the same problem. He thought it was real funny when it was happening to me on my older bike. Sort of funny how irony is now that he is having the same problem on his newer bike.
