    GS1100E fuel delivery?

Right to the point. An 82 GS1100E I'm looking to purchase will not stay running unless the choke stays on. Current owner says he cleaned the carbs a month ago. I asume it's a fuel delivery problem (I'm no mechanic though), what should be looked at? Thank you.

The vacuum diaphram on the petcock could be bad, or the vacuum line from the carb to the petcock. Another possibility could be a partially blocked fuel filter. Put the petcock on prime and try to run it, if it improves, clean or replace the fuel filter. But my first guess is that the carbs didn't get cleaned well enough. Sounds to me like the low speed circuits on the carbs are partially blocked.

Did you put the fuel tap lever in the PRI position? thats needed to fill the carb with petrol. Once het vloat is full with pertrol you can turn it in the on postion and leave it there.

Check to see the idle control knob didn't get backed out, while the carbs were being cleaned
