81 or 82 GS650GL
I have been searching for a rebuild kit for the front master cylinder for a while now. The bike has a manufacturing date of 1981 so that is what I search for on Bike Bandit. The service manual that my father bought when the bike was new and Bike Bandit both show a round front master cylinder. The problem is that I have a rectangular master cylinder. BB shows the 82 model in the diagrams to have the rectangular mc. Does this mean my bike is an 82 model or a mistake on BB. Also I need a good lead on some new brake lines.Tags: None

That is the one. Hope to have it road ready in a couple of weeks depending on when I can get the parts.
I know that brake hoses have a "life" expectancy and that that life depends on usage and storage conditions. This bike has always been stored inside and the brake lines look good externally. Since the bike is 25 years old, should I replace them ASAP?
