    Wierd GS1000G clutch problems

After finally getting the bike to idle and run halfway decent, I took it for a drive. It drags in first to the point it pulls the bike forward on flat ground. STIFF clutch pull. BUT.... it slips when it hits 6 grand and I have to back off the throttle?
I want to order new springs and clutch discs, both fiber and steel and be done with it. My local shop is $$$$$...BAD!
Where is a good online place that sells OEM stuff?

Oil...Do I really need MC oil with the wetclutch setup?

The main thing with oil is DON'T get friction modified stuff. It will caus ethe clutch to slip.

You might be able to find some OEM or Fast by Gast plates on
Dragbike.com. I actually bought some used there, and are still working great. I've tryed EBC and Barnett, both of which dragged heavily. I hear the Fast by Gast are near as good as stock.

The rack release and roller bearing maybe worth replacing while your in there.

Check out your clutch cable first. Is it kinked or frayed anywhere? Some aftermarket replacements cause both drag AND slip.

If the clutch is hard to pull then you either have aftermarket HD springs or a bad cable. If you have aftermarket springs and your clutch slips you probably either have worn friction plates or your steel plates are glazed over and need to be cleaned with a brillo pad.
