Petcock vent hose - What size?

What size vent hose do I need for a replacement petcock to carb on my '83 750T?

    As always, thanks much.

I don't know what size your model uses, but just measure the ports at the petcock and/or carb and get something with the same inside diameter and be sure it slips on snug.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Thanks. Didn't know how exact I needed to be.

The fuel line is 5/16" ID. The vacuum line is 1/4" ID.

Two auto-parts stores in town, and neither had 1/4" ID hose. Ridiculous. The guys behind the counter kept handing me other sizes saying, "Will this work?"

I just stopped taking the packages and started asking, "Is it 1/4" ID?"

            "No."

            "Then no, it won't work."

Any other suggestions as to where to get it?

I get all my fuel and vaccum line at Ace Hardware. The 5/16" is $.79/lf, and the 1/4" is $.59. At the auto parts store (morons- all of them) a 2 foot length is $4.99!!

Wal-mart and Lowes drove the hardware stores out of business. I guess I'll see what the morons there have,...

                Thanks, brother.
