push button start and a toggle (2prong)

ive put a 78 gs 750 motor on the back of a small dune rail and cant figure the wiring out for the starter.im a little slow so bear with me....
4 starters,i run a dyna s and aftermarket coils with a ford starter silonoid.the hot from the battery runs to one side of the silonoid.from the same spot on the silonoid,i have a wire running to one prong on a push button starter for a hot.the second prong of the push button has a wire hooked to it running to the s on the starter silonoid.and now the other side of the starter silonoid has the starter wire hooked to it.this way i push the button and around she goes.now running with the dyna requires a switched 12v to operate.i ran from the hot on the push button to a toggle prong and hooked the dyna wire + to the opposite toggle prong.switch forward is on and backward is off.turn the toggle on and push the button gives the gs life..........until i let the push button go,shell die.if i hold the button(fried 1 starter)of course she stays running but so does the starter.can anyone tell me the proper way to bypass original key and just run a toggle set up like i have?im so close, its gotta be a simple fix but im stuck.details would be greatly appreciated...thanks for your time,mike..........

Run wire from battery 12v to toggle switch to coils & ign. Run a 12v wire to the start button from their to the start solinod

Or better yet Use a toggle switch to turn a relay on/off to power the ign

hot from battery to post starter solenoid
from that post to one terminal of toggle switch (other post of solenoid to starter motor)
from other terminal of toggle switch to power ignition and on to one side of starter push button
from other side of starter push button to s terminal on solenoid
