    On the road, YES!!!!

Finally ,took my first ride in a year today. Everything seems cool with the bike (81 1100E). Thanks to anyone and everyone that replied to my questions. Got one little issue at present I need to clear up. My oil drain plug wont tighten up. Hence it drips oil .Threads dont look bad on it . New drain plug ? Anybody got an extra? Anyone have the same thing happening ? Ideas welcome .

I've always had to heli-coil that problem, myself, unfortunately.

Use the search feature for threads about this problem. I remember seeing more than one reference to an oversized self-tapping oil drain plug that will take care of this. I believe somebody posted that you could get them at a Napa auto parts store.

I have an extra drain plug, but I don't think that's your problem either. PO over torqued the drain plug and stripped the aluminum.

If the threads are good the oil pan is probably cracked.
