    GS1000 - Q - on RPMS at 70 mph can you check yours ??

Just tightened a loose TACH line.

Can you check yours and see if it is close or not. 78 GS1000

    70 mph - 3900 rpm - 265 lb man

She felt right but just wanted to check.

Man she really opened up well at 60 -70 mph today.
Not much humidity and nice and cool outside.

Seems your gearing it a tad taller than stock. It is good however unless your racing the 1/8

I think Hoomie is correct, I am at around 4500rpm at 70mph, although I would like it if it was lower. Ray

We have a wicked speed trap in town - I think I am going to go by and ask the guy to clock me at certain speed and see.

                    68 mph at 4,000 rpm...'79 GS1000E, 19 front, 17 rear, stock 15/42 gearing.
Over the years, all three tachs I've used have read identical. The one in it now is NOS. Cable is newer too.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!
