CLUTCH BACKWARDS!!! Help Please
OK, Now this is one weird problem, I tore down some of my bike the past month, (Carbs Handlebar Assembly, Exaust pipes, Tank, Clutch Cable) and when I put it back together when I pull my Clutch in It acts as if It is Not, and when I dont touch the cluctch it acts like Im holding it in... I have no Idea what Happened or how to fix it I really need help on this one...Tags: None

Iam not certain with a 650; does it have an external lever arm above the clutch housing? If so does it look right? You may have the arm 180 degrees out?

On my 650, the external lever points toward the front and a bit to the left. Almost hard to get it wrong as the bracket for the cable points it in that general direction.
Actually, it appears that you have invented a new safety feature. Since you really need to be awake and alert to ride a bike safely, now you must also pull in on the lever to go. When you are tired enough to not be able to hold the clutch lever, you are probably not alert enough to ride, either.
