I've spent a lot of time looking, but it is slim pickins. Am thinking the Michelin Anakees may be a posibility. http://www.mawonline.com/michelin.htm"Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded" -Yogi Berra

Stock front tire size on my 85 1150 is 120/80/16. I have not found a radial front tire in that size anywhere. I use a Metzeler 33 on the front and am on my 4th Dunlop D205 140/80/17 radial on the rear. Rain or shine, all conditions and speeds, I have had no problems at all with those two tires together. Handling is normal.

Earl do they still make a radial for the 1150 front wheel and if so what brand and model?Last edited by earlfor; 08-09-2006, 11:44 PM.Komorebi-The light filtering through the trees.

Looks like the first generation GSXR may have had the smaller front axle like the GS uses.

Plus an 18 front and 18 rear will quicken your steering. It'll feel like it's on rails, but not twitchy like some newer bikes...

I believe you're correct that the 84 1150 used the narrower 3" rear rim as opposed to the 3.5" on the 85 model. Stock rear tire size for the 85 1150 is 130/90/17. My 140 rear is one step oversize.
