    82 GS1100E - Rotor Puller Source ?

I think I have an issue with my starter clutch or the bearings for the main starter clutch gear.

I need to get a rotor puller to check it out. I've located a couple sources, but they want $55 to $60 for the tool.

Anyone know of a cheaper source?

Anyone have one they would loan out?

I'll cover you by paying you full value for the tool. When I return it, you would refund me the money for the tool. I would also cover shipping both ways.

As I recall an M14 x 1.0 bolt is cheaper.

The puller as I understand it is a two piece tool.

I'm not sure I follow you on how this will pull the rotor out.

Found a good source at $32 as opposed to $55 plus.

Lots of GS Stuff, looks like at good prices too.

I just bought lots of stuff from them (Gasket set and a bunch of other goodies) they're backordered on the pullers though. Can someone post a pic of what this rotor puller looks like? I bet I can make my own!

Here are photos of mine. They are for an 82 GS1100E.

It is a two piece unit. The inside thread of the large end measures 35mm x 1.5 internal threads.

                It is 3 inches deep.

Different models have different pullers. I believe some even have one piece basically consisting of a hardened bolt.
