got 3 broken bolts out now need help ASAP with valves..

Anybody know of a step by step do it yourself vavle adjustment chart?
I have the service manual for my 1980 GS850G, but when I got to the "use feeler gauge and check clearance" step, I can't make out on the page where to check the clearance..I know I know NEABY written all over right.!?!
Well bike is torn apart so info please please..
    Thanks in advance,

You measure between the cam lobe and the shim in the shim bucket. Make sure the cam is positioned for the valve your checking. The book describes the procedure quite well.

Order all four intake boots; the other three aren't in much better shape. Make sure you get new o-rings, too. It's a GS rite of passage...

Every GS850 needs intake boots every 20 - 25 years and o-rings every 5-10 years:

2015 Yamaha FJ-09, Magma Red Power Corrupts...
