If you've got 145 psi on both cylinders then you don't have to worry about the valves.
Don't mess with things that don't need fixing.

do you need a special tool to do a leak down test? The pressure should stay constant, correct?
What could cause a compression leak? Just asking because the pressure was going down very quickly when i did the test, but that might have been because it was a really cheap tester and i was a little nervous to really tighten the nozzle into the plug hole out of fear of stripping it.
should i rent a tester from autozone or some place like that to get a more accurate reading?

My $40 tester shows what the maximum compression was and stays there until re-set. When your engine is spinning during the test it goes up and down in pressure for each cylinder.
