What CDI (ignitor) do I need?
I have an '81 GS750E. The bike did not come with a CDI (ignitor, igniter, ignition box, etc.) so I have no idea which one I need. There are two connectors near the spot that the CDI bolts to, do they both go to the CDI? I've seen two types of CDIs for early GS's: one with one group of wires and a ground wire, the other with two groups of wires with separate connectors. I don't want to spend money on a CDI only to find out that I've bought the wrong one. Help!

Forget the stock ignition and get a Dyna S. It'll probably be cheaper, and it'll definitely be easier and more reliable.
Figure out which type of ignition you have (KD OR ND) and whether you have a stock mechanical advance (my '81 did), and get the appropriate kit:

Do a bit of searching around the forums and you'll find lots of info about Dyna ignitions -- they come very highly recommended here.

I'll second the Dyna S. I installed one on my 550E and I have had no problems with the ignition since. I bought mine online from MPS Racing.

Your ignitor uses the following updated Suzuki part number:
32900-45120
The old number was:
32900-45110
The bad, (very bad, really) news is that part sells for $376.52. So you're more or less forced to find a used part or go with the Dyna ignition.
