epoxy in my intake ports.... what kind??

What kind of epoxy would stand up to the rigors of everyday riding? I would need stuff that wouldn't burn off or come loose. Is it recommended for street use at all??

What are you trying to do with it? Epoxy has excellent chemical resistance, so any decent one should work. Just be sure to clean the area very well. Use acetone for the final wipes of the surface and it should be fine.

I think I've seen people use "JB Weld" in the exhaust ports,so it can take high heat.

There is a marine product out there called Splash Zone. It's a 2-part material. Drag racers have used it for years. Once you get it in your port you can wet your finger and push it around and form it nicely. I've used it before in gas and methanol engines , nothing bothers it.

Have you been over-zealous while doing a porting job?

I'll be using it to "shape" my intake ports once the grinding work is done. The epoxy will be on the floor of the ports as this shape helps the mixture "tumble" into the combustion chamber.
