    clutch issues..help!

ok, so I have a 1982 GS750e, and I have 2 problems that dont make sense together...

    1) I put the bike up on the centerstand today, and in first gear, holding the clutch in all the way, the tire is still spinning as if the clutch was out...when I let the clutch out there is no difference in speed, only a little power is gained. (I can slow it down by hand, but not when I dump the clutch). This doesnt affect riding all that much, except when shifting from Neutral, I sound like Im killing something. the bike doesnt push forward (except when Im trying to start it, it will jerk a bit) with the clutch in. any ideas? I have tried adjusting the cable, but to no avail...

2)my other problem is that when I am in 2nd or higher and I really crank it open, it feels like the clutch is slipping. it will rev really high, and I wont go any faster. so basically my 0-60 is like 20+ seconds, because I have to take it easy. I heard someone say that it might be dirty oil, but I just recently changed my oil (maybe 2 months ago, and I only started seriously riding it about 2 weeks ago. I thought that it may be that the clutch isnt engaging all the way due to my adjusting for the spinning wheel, but I have no idea...do you?
    thanks

Just to the right of, and above, the transmission, when looking at it from the side, you will see the cable end, and what looks like a small lever.

This is part of the the clutch actuator and the cable attaches to it. If that little lever is misaligned/off position, the clutch will not fully release, no matter how hard you pull the lever on the handlebar.

          Point #1:
Mine does that. First gear, clutch pulled, wants to move.
Center stand, NEUTRAL, enigine running, wheel spinning. No power to it though. FIRST GEAR, clutch in, spins.

I get no slippage though. Firm engine to trans lockup.
