I don't think anyone here would try to mislead you. I should of stated that as a personal note. I just had a bad experience with fix a flat. First my rear tire went flat and then it was as slippery as snot. Had a passenger and it scared the hell out of me.

Thanks guys. I was trying to make it back up north this weekend one last time before the Galena run. Oh well. Better safe than road pizza.

Brad, let me know if you want to come by to mount and balance the new tire. I've got a set for the FJR and I'm waiting on a set for the GS so I'll be doing some mounting soon anyway. Might as well do them all at the same time.

              Ryan,

I have a set of Avons waiting to be mounted on the FJR and a set of Sport Demons on the way for the GS. We'll have to have a little tire mounting party before Galena.

              Anyone else?

              Joe

You could plug it and could get a bunch of miles out of it, but if you are worried, replace it and put SLIME in it, yes, the green stuff, it works and it didn't settle on me.

Yeah, it was a sad sight....we pulled a 1 1/2 inch rusty nail out of that fresh tire....

..and then he almost got nailed by a golf tee Sunday on our ride up north. Yeah, a golf tee.

Up north? did you guys go on another one of your ultra-marathon distance rides to Lincoln Park? Maybe a really ambitious trek across the city limit into Evanston?

Yes, all of the above and the best breakfast @ the original Walker Bros. you will never have! We also cruised the north shore million dollar homes route and got 100% soaked 10 miles from the garage. Bike is clean now...\\/

Yes, Joe ... as I'm sure you recall I have a nasty wobble on my front tire around 40 mph because I forgot to line up the heavy side of the tire with the light side of the wheel, and I don't think the balance is "dead-on." I would LOVE to pull the tire and remount it before Galena!

Only problem is, this weekend is Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New year) and I'll be in Synagogue all of Saturday and in the morning on Sunday ... SO I want to humbly request that the party be held on Sunday, so that I can shoot on over in the early afternoon and "party" with you folk ... pretty please?

                        Thanks!
