Mini Turn Signals Wont Blink!!!!!
I installed a set of Mini stalk turn signals on my 1982 GS850G from DK. These lights were the same wattage and filament as the stock lights that I removed. I put the new lights on and they will shine but will not blink. The Flasher relay, a 3 prong, (while holding in my hand) does click once but thats it. Is there something I'm missing.Tags: None

Check your battery. The same thing happened to me and I was about ready to replace the flasher relay until I realized the battery was low. It only had enough juice to blink once, then stay on.

The same thing would happen with my 82 750TZ, when the bike/motor was not running the blinkers would blink only once, when running they worked perfectly.

Bad flasher relay?
Apparently you can obtain a universal replacement that fits right on that connector at auto parts stores.

Tried that from previous advise and with the standard auto relay the light won't even burn, muchless blink.

you need to put a resistor between the positive and negative wire of the blinker. are the new blinkers LED's?

If you have a full battery, and still no blinking, and the lights are the correct resistence........take a few steps back and reconnect the old signals just to test and see if they still work. Perhaps something got mashed in the process?

Ok I have wired the stock lights back up on one side and they work fine , so it is evident that the lights that I bought are not any good. I got the idea from Kieth on his thread about mini stalk lights ( in the Appearence Modification post) but I did not purchase the exact lights he did but I will. Thanks for all the advise.

I just swapped out my lolipop signals for these and they work/look great. Probably not too durable (so I'm told) but so far so good. I plan on remounting them on a rubber base so they don't get any jarring impact. Work perfectly right out the box.
I did manage to throw my hip into one while working on the bike and cracked the lense but for $12.00 a pair I'm not too worried.

Non blinking lights
I had the same problem on my 73 Honda CB350F. I went to my local auto part store and bought a universal relay that was made for a car. I have no idea if there is a difference between a bike relay and a car relay.... but it worked. My old bike relay worked fine with the stock blinkers, but not the mini's. This "CAR" relay worked great with the mini's and it plugged right in.
Good luck

You might try an electronic flasher. They are about three times as much as a thermal (10$) but they don't rely on the draw from the bulbs to flash. they will flash as many or few bulbs as you want.
