Polishing exhaust 83 GS1100E black chrome
OK, now that I've got my bike running good, it's time to clean it up! It's got the original 83 only black chrome exhaust, and although it's not dented or rusted in any way, there seems to be some discoloration in the chrome, it just doesn't look "new" anymore! My question is simple, what's the best way to polish this "black" chrome? Any tips or hints would be greatly appreciated, thanks GS resources!!!!!Current stable:

Busafied
Try waxing it- do not use anything with the least bit of abrasive in it-
That's what I used on my 1982 GS550MZ when I owned it-
Similar to my GS550MZ

You want to clean your black pipes........
very carefully:shock:
I trailered my 83 to Florida a few years back and one of the tie-downs rubbed a bit on the right side. Took it down to chrome.
Not a good thing.
If anything ,wash them with a sponge and then try the S-100 engine brightener.
