I'll ask about the true condition. I'll probably just order a new one unless this one is perfect, which I doubt by the description.
I need to get myself something for my upcoming birthday(from the wife). If I don't, she'll get me something I probably can't use anyway. I'm at that point where I'm really hard to buy for I guess. So in a way, an NOS one won't cost me anything. It's still not about the $, it's about keeping the bike as nice as I can. I actually prefer the modified version I cut. The NOS would just be used if the crack came back.

And on the seventh day,after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Keith, that ducktail wasn't put there just for looks. It added considerable rigidity to the chain guard.sigpic[Tom]

I haven't noticed any difference as far as rigidity. There's a metal plate at the rear that seems to take care of that. I don't see how the ducktail makes it any stronger. Maybe it does but I still have no issues. I think the mass of the ducktail being "after" the crack would eventually open the crack again from vibration. I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message.
