Gear Shift Lever Question
Anyone know why for an '82 GS850L there's one part number for the gear shift lever (25600-45130) but TWO part numbers for the rubber piece (25652-16500 AND 25652-49300). My old one was p/n 33, but I'm wondering if p/n 34 will be less painful shifting on my toes as it looks somewhat wider and flatter. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks again. LarryTags: None

My GK came with the flat type. The rubber part came off one day, and I replaced the lever with a round-type one I had on one of my old GS850's. It fit perfectly and I couldn't tell the difference in shifting.

I ordered a new one from Flat Out Motorcycles today, but its on back order. I'm told the round one was replaced by the flat one, so that's the one I'm getting.
