      1. change oil
      2. fill it up and put a lot of stabil in the tank, drive it home (I don't drain the carbs)
      3. put it on the center stand and air down the tires to 15lbs (I balance it so that neither tire is on the ground)
      4. let air out of the forks
      5. put a rag soaked with wd40 in air intake
      6. blow wd40 into the mufflers until it runs out the drain holes
      7. plug the mufflers with a soaked rag
      8. pull the battery and put it on a tender
      9. lube the chain and the forks
      10. cover it with a sheet then the vinyl cover
:-D Did I forget to say kiss her goodnight?

        WD 40 into the muffler

I live in MN and I am starting to think about winterizing my bike. No one from Texas need respond .

What's the scoop about squirting WD 40 into the muffler? Who else does this?

        Thanks!

WD-40 WD=Water Discplacement. I think it prevents rust by displacing the water that may be in the exhaust system.

I've heard this recommended before, but I never seem to find the time or incentive once it's cold. I have to wonder why it matters if I always change it to start the season.

i think the idea is just to remove the moisture that could be in the old oil.

This corn gas is really unstable. I would like to get a fresh drink of non-oxygenated fuel before I add seafoam or stabil. The boat is getting completely drained. A couple years ago I left ethanol gas in it over the winter and had hell to pay getting it to run right. The filler cap actually says dont use oxygenated fuel.
