    GS1150 Carb Kit

Has anyone out there ever found a carb kit for GS1150 carbs? If so could you tell me where you got it?

    Thanks

    In advance.

Are you missing any parts? You can get an oring kit from Robert Barr www.cycleorings.com and bowl gaskets from the dealership. That's usually all you will need, unless you are missing parts. You might try checking with a dealer or shop that carries K&L carb kits. They might have a listing. Or if you are missing parts, you might have to go to Mikuni direct.

No Parts missing, 3rd year running the bike and have rebuilt front and rear ending during previous winter months, thought I would pay attention to carbs this year.

Bike started to smoke this year, right side exhaust, really inconsistently, but enough for it to be embarrasing. Did the normal stuff like check compression and all cylinders where 150lbs. Spark Plugs on cylinders 1 & 2, non-smoking side, were the right color, brownish grey, cylinder 3 was somewhat carboned and cylinder 4 was really carboned up, black.

2 places left to look at, is carb(s) running rich on cylinders 3 & 4 or is valve seal at fault. Carbs needed a good cleaning and and by default will be re-adjusted, I'll do this over the winter. If it still persists when rebuilt carbs are back on the bike then I'll look at valve seals.

        Thanks
For taking the time to respond.
