    no juice

hi, havent been here in awhile and thats a good thing... but i recently tried to start my bike after it had been sitting for about 3 weeks and i'm getting no lights when i turn the key.. i had the battery charged and its reading 13v, so thats not the problem. the cover i have for the bike isnt 100% water-proof so im thinking some rain got in somewhere and shorted something.. i just have no idea where or how to start troubleshooting this.. any suggestions?? Use a multimeter to verify where in the circuits in question the voltage is present. Then see where voltage downstream of that pioint is not present. Then you keep on narrowing it down further. Start at the main fuse. If you've got no voltage there, then nothing will work. You may simply have a loose and/or dirty connection.
Of course, this all asumes that you have a wiring diagram or are experienced enough to figure out the circuits yourself.
The above is tedious but will guarantee you find the failure point.

Make sure you did not bump your kill switch.

Turn your fuses or try new ones.
