I think your problem is you bought the wrong signals. If you have a three prong flasher, you want dual filament signals.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

      THANK YOU ALL!!!

Got it!...under the tank it was!.....I still used the two prong flasher and disabled the auto turn off.

You guys are awsome! That was a quick and easy fix and $3 bucks at that. I can't believe I missed it.

Thanks to all once again. Thats what makes this forum GREAT!

yes, just remove the three prong flasher, and install a 2 prong flasher. mine is that way now, but if you do this, would you be interested in giving me your 3-pronger? I want that 'inopportunity'!!!:-D

There are two wires that go up to the speedo and feed the speed/distance sensor. Just disconnect them and the self cancelling feature will be shut off.
As for flashers and changing them from 3 prong to 2 prong to shut off the self cancelling feature, I'm a bit confused here.
The three prong flashers are used with dual filament bulbs. One filament for running lights, the other for flashing. Correct?
The two prong flashers are used with single filament bulbs. Flashing only, no running lights. Correct?
The flasher has nothing to do with the self cancelling feature. Correct?
If you replace a three prong with a two prong flasher, you lose your running lights, along with one side of your signals. Correct?
