    Tire/Rim matching

I own a 1981 GS550L with a 1.85x19 rim that currently has a worn-out Metzler ME77 100/90-19 on the front. I have ordered a Bridgestone Battleax BT-45 100/90-19 as a replacement. Unfortunately, I have subsequently discovered that the approved rim size for this tire is 2.15-2.75. Am I going to have a problem with this tire on this rim?
    Thanks for the help.

You're only 3/10" under the minimum recommended size. Since you've already been running a 100 width as long as it worked well there's no need to worry.

I agree with Billy Ricks. You should have no problem at all.

Thank you. That puts my mind and credit cards worries to rest.
