metal exhaust manifold gaskets????
so i just now read there were gaskets in the headers, are they metal or something else? would i need to replace them if i changed the headers a couple times?

You'll find them under the heading of exhaust seals. Go to
for a picture of what you're looking for. Just clicky on exhaust parts on the left side
and then you will see "seals". Scroll down to Suzuki.

Not sure what material the original gaskets are, but replacements can be a round section copper ring, a composite steel/fibre square section ring, or a composite aluminium/fibre square section ring.
They usually have to be prized out to replace them, which you should do every time you remove the header pipes.
If you don't replace them they will probably leak and cause popping in the exhaust on the overrun.

exhaust gaskets
Bikebandit.com has em cheap. They are oem and much cheaper than dealer.
The only exception is that some dealers don't re-price the old NOS parts and you can get a bargain that way, since they have set on the shelf for years.
Of course, don't over torque the bolts when installing.
