Pullin the pin on carbs
I found a good way to pull the float pins. Use a worn out or spare pair of diagonal cutters. Grind the back side ( shallow ) side down flat to the cutting edge. It will fit behind the flat end of the pin and pull it. This is the end that is larger and wedges into the post. I do not know why the pin is made this way because it can not come out with the float bowl installed . There is not enough room. I am going to look for a rod the same dia and cut my own.Tags: None

i use a spring loaded center punch. Its a real small one, about the size of a pen. There is no chance of damage to the carb since your not hitting it with anything, and no modification.

i smack a philips screwdriver in a little bit so it just knocks out the other end a hair and then i grab it with pliers, comes right out.

There's no need to seat them up against the towers again once you have them out the first time. At least that way in the future they are easier to get out.
