    Dink, would that be the same with a different switch.I dont have the button type mine is the toggle type.Ever got into one of those?

      Toggle type still works pretty much the same, take care dis-assembling due to spings etc.

        Thanks, I cant find any diagram on the switchs but r.grier has a switch he brought me to "disect".Everybody needs two bikes,one to ride and one for a guinea pig!

              I have not done this for a couple of years, but I seem to recall a small screw inside, and it holds the board in place.



              S T R O N G recommendation:


              Disconnect the wiring and put the switch unit inside a large, clear, plastic bag before making any more attempts to disassemble it.

              Put your tools and your arms inside the bag to do the work.

              As Dink has already noted, there are tiny springs inside there, and a few other tiny pieces as well.

              The bag will be a bit awkward, perhaps, but you will be spared a LOT of headache searching for lost parts.

                When you have removed the sitchblock, & it's metal retainer. Press the horn button this will show you some movement & should show you where to gently lever it apart. I like Ron's idea too.

                      instead of fixing the horn, just carry a bunch of wrenches and substitute them in for the horn \\/
