    front forks

    fitted a set of progressive fork springs 15wt oil the front end still
    feel to soft put in 10lbs of air they top out just wondering if other
    people had same problem . thinking about 5psi in each leg.
    sorry forgot to this is on a Gs1000s.

    You don't need to run air with your progressive fork springs. Increase the dampening with the pc pipe that came with your springs.
    1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
    1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

      As starting point the spacer should extend 1/2-1" above the fork tube with it fully extended

        I did the same for mine last spring, no air though. I think my PVC tubes have slightly more than an inch sticking out the top of the tube.

          thanks guys never got a spacer with them made a 1 inch spacer
          found it to much I would reckon half inch would be about there.
