Cam chain tensioner blades
Does anyone know whether these are still availabke for the GS750. Mine is a 1979 model. It looks like a top end overhaul may required, along with a rebore, and I reckon the blade will be worn out too. Also need to get some valve guides. Got a full set of valves and springs still in the oilpaper for £10.00 at an autojumble a while ago, but don`t want to use them in the old worn guides. My local Suzuki dealer is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard, don`t seem interested if bike is more than five years old !. Any advice ast to where I might be able to get these bits and bobs much appreciated. Thanks.

Lots of part sources in the US but that doesn't help you much living on the other side of the Alantic like you do.
Regarding the the tensioner guides, most likely they will be fine. Inspect them first and then decide.Ed

What is the mileage? It's essential to replace the valve guide seals as part of a top end rebuild, but valve guides and tensioner blades don't wear out too quickly on these bikes.Comment
