    Dunlop K627's

Any onions on this tire? I have just realized that this is the tire that needs to be replaced on the back of my motorcycle. I guess the previous owner found it worked for him, so I'm debating it.

Its either this or the HiMax

I've used the 627 plenty of times and it's a fine tire that will work well with your GS.

The HiMax will probably give you better mileage for a better price. I've been using HiMax at both ends and they work very well. I've found them to be the best value per mile.

Take a look at IRC Duotours. They still make them in original GS sizes.

The Dunlop 627 is a really old design -- I'd be amazed if they're still making them, but who knows how much old stock is out there moldering in warehouses.

The Cheng Shin is a much better choice -- better price, mileage, and grip, and available in all the strange sizes needed by old twins. Make sure you verify the actual correct sizes needed for your bike instead of trusting whatever size the PO stuffed on there.

Replace both tires, while you're at it -- it'll feel and handle sooooo much nicer with fresh rubber on both ends.
