? emailed dynatek, they say they dont have a model that fits this bike. I searched the forums and read something about taking a mechincal advance from a older bike .So what iam wondering is.

1.Wich dyna model to use also coils ?
2.Why and what year mechincal advance do i need ?
3.Fab work or parts that need to be modified?

Also maybe this could be pined or something for others looking to do the same , kind of a how to ?

You should be able to make it work ?? any advance from 80-82 & even the older points advance units. Someone posted about having to turn down the mt base (.010) of the advance to make it fit ? & use an older style cover. I have not personally installed one on an 83 tho.
