GSXR slingshot head to GS 1100
I was wondering what it takes to install the oil cooled GSXR cylinderhead to the GS 1100 engine ?

Here's a few note's I found about it
OK, here goes! GSX-R 1100 head is good for all compression ratios & 750 head is better for engines up to about 13.0-1. 1100 has 26cc chamber & 88 or 89 750 head has 22cc chamber & same size valves & ports as 1100 head. A stock 88 or 89 750 head & cams on a stock 1100 or 1150 bottom end & pistons is good for 20 HP more with NO porting! Also, you can put 31MM intakes & 26MM exhaust valves on STOCK seats! That part alone saves 500-600 bucks over a GS head! Also, ports are a better angle[ raised] to the intake valves! Now , to put it together you machine O ringed aluminum plugs for oil return holes in front of head. You silicone closed the oil supply line holes in the rear of the valve cover. You have to tap & plug the oil return holes in the GS block-there are 2. You use the GS cam chain & cam sprockets & GS 1150 cylinder studs with the FBG OPEN top head nuts or stock if you're cheap & like to replace head gaskets. Also, you DON'T use the GSXR idler gear! The GS header still works if you just grind a little off the diameter where the pipe goes into the head. I have done it at the track with a 4 inch electric grinder in a pinch. Just use GSXR exhaust gaskets. I think that about covers it for the most part. I've built about 30 of these setups in various HP configurations & have had ZERO PROBLEMS!1166cc 1/8 ET 6.09@111.88

Hey Dink, how's summer down there, heard a few weeks ago you guys had some snow somewhere??
If you search (slingshot head) on Dragbike.com, Psychobike and even Maximum Suzuki you can find a few good post about it. The only one I have problems with is the XL forum, for some strange reason they just talk about Sportster's1166cc 1/8 ET 6.09@111.88
