    o-ring, too many o-rings

So I decided to rebuild my 77 gs750 a while ago and went as far as spliting the cases, it has be fun, but now time to put everything back together. I got a complete rebuild gasket kit and I know all the gaskets and oblong oring, those are easy, but I have a few questions now. I have one o-ring in the midlle of the cases, that was easy, but there are a few I don't rember, i know, brain fart, it has one thinner than the center case ring, it looks kinda like the oil pump o-rings, but there is only one. The second one is about twice the diameter of the others, but not thick enough to be the starter oring, and finally it came with five (but the list only says it should come with four) "metalized" rings, the best I can describe them is a washer that has been ruberized, I may remeber them going between the cans and the head, with the head gasket, but I am really not sure. Any help would be awsome with the rings I Listed or others.

This should be interesting as I just ordered a full gasket kit for my 850. So whatever input people have, I am also interested. This is the first time I've rebuilt a motorcycle engine.

I think the Rubberised washers should go on the top of the head, under the head bolt nut. on the oil feed studs

If its a full set you should get ALL the O rings which include ones for the camchain tensioner plus the metal crush ones for the cross oil way (Where the garage stick the oil pump gauge!!!) and sump plug.
Between the cases come 2 rubber O rings, there should be one for the oil pump, bottom of the barrels (if applicable to your model) all the top end set of seals and the O rings for the cylinder head gasket. You may also have copper washers for the cylinder head.

What brand of gasket set did you get? That might help us picture what you're looking at.

The Vesrah sets are high quality, but far from "complete".
