    progressive shock assembly

After a solid year of searching ebay for a deal on a set of progressive shocks I finally have them in hand. About six months ago I had bought a set of progressive springs to go with and now I am putting them together.
I had figured this might be difficult since they make special shock tools to do this.
Since the shock bodies didn't come with instructions, I just put the spring on, compressed by hand and had my son slide spring collar over spring. Bam, its done! My question is that all there is to it? Sorry to sound stupid, but I never trust when something goes too easy. Thanks in advance.

No such thing as a stupid question! One is wise to ask, especially when your life may hang on the performance or reliability of a part.

Thanks for the confirmation. I thought about doing them by myself but the son was showing some interest. I think it could be done with 3 hands. I was just surprised that even with the heavy duty springs I could compress them far enough. Now if it will quit snowing and warm up maybe I can test them out...
