    need torque spec ASAP!!! GS 1150

    can someone give me the torque spec for the nut on the left side of crank that holds on the charging rotor, i've looked everywhere i could think of and cannot find it. HELP ASAP, i'm in michigan and its gonna be 60 this wekend....WANNA RIDE!! This is for a gs 1150

    This might be of some help to you. Looked in my Clymer book for 850-1100 and found nothing.

    Looked in my 650 book and found 65-72 ft-lb. \\/

        In my Suzuki GS 1150 service manual, in the back there's a Torque Table. If the nut to which you are referring is the "Generator Rotor Nut" the specs are:

        160-170 N-m / 16.0-17.0 kg-m / 115.5-123.0 lb.-ft

        Hope that helps8-)

          Looked in my Haynes book and found "alternator rotor nut" 115.7- 123.0 lbf ft

              I guess 1150s need tighter nuts than 650s.
