    plz help

    ya i was wondering the correct way to set ur throttle cable and choke cables i just got a new throttle cable on my 83-gs750es and i cant get the top of the cable that hooks into the throttle itself i cant get the cable tight up ther its all the way tight but cable still spins is this how its supposed to be it would be great if someone can help me on adjusting the thnx i love this site (old scooters rule).......\\/

    Did you adjust it at both ends the carbs & at the throttle barrel? There should be just a slight bit of free play.

      After you get it attached at both ends, take up a bunch of the extra with the adjuster at the carbs. Lock that adjustment down and do the rest at the hand grip.

      Pretty much the same for the choke. Do most of it at the carbs, then the rest at the knob or lever, whatever you have.

        ya i have it connected at both ends also but the top of the cable swivwls around where it screws into the throttle assembly itself and the cable itself is tight im stumped....
