    So do you think the rectifier is bad?

    Just scored this super sweet 1150ES, but naturally it isn't charging. Why would it be? Anyway, I just now got the time to root around a bit (luckily I've commited the Stator Papers to memory by now) and this is what I found. Think it could be related to my charging problem?

    Looks fine to me. Maybe you need a new battery?

      just put the smoke back in and it'll work fine. otherwise ya gotta get a new one!

          You can file down that dimple on the front of the plug, and maybe fill it in with a little Bondo if you need to, then wipe off the yellow wires and put it on eBay, like everybody else.

                I had one do that too. :-) i'm willing to bet a diode or two still tests good!
