    Tach ratio??

does anyone know the tachometer ratio for a 1977 GS400? i found a tachometer but it says suzuki 750-1000. thank you

As far as I know, the ratio should be the same. Suzuki was really good about using the same parts across many different bikes.

Also, a tach measures RPM. As long as the input shaft is turning, it should measure properly.

I believe the gearing for all GS tachometers is the same.

I am reasonably certain that it is one to one.

        Let me check.

        One tach, one bike.

Yep, it's one to one.
