Fork oil amount?
How much fork oil should there be in a GS750L from 1980? My forks seem pretty soft. Not having much (any) expierience with this I would really appreciate everyone's help. Does it measure in ounces, is there a fill line in there? Should pick up a manual for this but seems to me the different manuals give different amounts. Again any help is appreciated.Tags: None

If it's like all the others it should be 140mm from the top.

Keep in mind, though that whatever the measurement is for your bike, the book says to measure it "with the spring removed, the fork tube held vertically, and fully compressed."
Specs for my 650L say oil capacity is 228 cc (7.7 ounces), and the oil level should be 248 mm (9.8 inches).
Specs for my 850L say oil capacity is 302 cc (10.2 ounces), and the oil level should be 160 mm (6.3 inches).
As you can see, this is rather model-specific, so please get the right numbers for YOUR bike.sigpic
