    Clymer manual Help!

I can't find a Clymer manual that covers my model year. bike. The only one I can find covers 1980/1981 GS1100 ET/LT/EX. My bike is an 82 ES.
Will this book cover my bike also? What would be different on my 82?

The only book I can find that covers GS1100/1982 model year is for the shaft driven models.

I already have the factory service manual, but I would like to get a Clymer or Haynes manual too.

Are you sure it's an "82" GS 1100 "ES", I was thinking the "ES" models were only in "83". There were very minimal differences in the engines, but body, suspension, & instruments are completely different . There are Haynes manuals on e-bay, all the time. You may be overlooking them, cause they have a GS 1150 on the cover. This manual is for the GSX/GS1000, 1100, & 1150 4-valve Fours. At least 1 on e-bay now. May need to punch in GS1150 to find it
    1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. ZL600 Eliminator, 1999 Bandit 1200S, 2005 Bandit 1200S, 2000 Kaw. ZRX 1100

I'm confused on the whole ES,ED,EX bit. Your're probably right. Found a Haynes book at the motorbookstore.com that covers my model year. Thanks for the info.

I did a little research and I think my bike is actually a 1982 GS1100EZ.
        VIN# JS1GU73_C-------

I guess the C designation makes it the EZ model. Whatever the difference is I do not know other than it's supposed to be a little slower than the ones with the black engines.

I'd keep looking for a Clymer, I have both a Clymer and a Haynes and the Clymer is MUCH better.
