    brake, clutch, and throttle lines

i just got an 81 gs450L off of ebay and i hate the bullhorn handlebars. i want to change them to something like the lower type stock bars on my sv650. these are not like clip ons but more like dirtbike bars. i'm concerned about the existing length of the stock 450L's brake line, throttle and clutch cables being too long for this conversion. i assume i should use the same cables from the sportier 81 gs450S. does anybody have an idea where to get them or any other suggestions to make this conversion possible?

Might want to try the stock lines before jumping to the expense of new ones. They are not all that expensive, but they should be available at your dealer or Bike Bandit.

      ok

i'd like to use the stock lines to save money but i was hoping someone here would know if that's possible or has done the same thing. the stock bars are soooo high i don't think it will work. i'll try using the stock lines first though. thanks.

Most people just use the original cables/lines and find a way to route them differently to take up a bit of the extra length. Be creative, and test, test, test, and test again to make sure they don't cause any problems, especially the throttle cable.
